The George & Dragon, Shipley

Five Wombles ventured out on a beautiful sunny day in August, starting from the George & Dragon in Shipley.

Gloriously green and picturesque countryside as a given for our walks, there were many other sights to see along the way, highlights pictured below: bee hives, a tree house, a wonderfully gnarly old tree, a rickety wooden river crossing (which we sat to eat half-way snacks), hay bales, Max the dog (who was very excited to see us and followed some of the way), Kate’s chosen country retreat and an unusual retro-garage garden feature. Bit disappointing, no dragons to see in Dragons Estate.

Finally, the Wombles returned to the George & Dragon to enjoy cold beers and lunch (wasps permitting) in an idyllic English pub garden. Cheers guys!
